Located in the Northwest of rural Southern Philippines, Iligan City is definitely a challenging journey, yet a satisfying embark for those who persevere.
To get to our destination, which is 300km away, we had to board few jimnies, taxis, a bus, uphills, downhills, countless military checkpoints with an estimated of five-hour journey, but alhamdulillah we finally managed to reach our intended destination.
We managed to build 4 water pumps, which can sustain estimatedly 100 families, a few bags of blankets and clothings for the poor, Al-Qurans for a madrasah (Islamic school) and food rations for 100 familes, and for which, we would like to express our gratitude and sincere thanks to our families and friends for their generosity. And also to everyone who supplicated for us. Thank you for helping and making this cause a successful one.
Our intention is not to boast our efforts and sacrifices, but rather to encourage people who are really interested to do charity, to emulate us and inspire more people to do likewise.
May Allah SWT bless us all and make all our intentions a sincere and sacred ones.
